Why we recommend it

We visited the Key West Aquarium as a family in 2024, and it was a cool way to get off the busy streets for a while and do something different. It’s not a massive aquarium, but there’s plenty to see and it fits nicely into a day of exploring Key West without taking up the whole day. One of our favorite surprises was heading upstairs and getting a great view over the surrounding area. If you're already exploring Mallory Square and Old Town — especially on a hot Keys day — it's an easy stop to add to the day.
