Why we recommend it

Timpano has a special place in our story. Back in the early 2010s, Joe was running the hotel concierge program for the restaurant's parent company in Orlando, and Kelsey was working at one of the hotel desks. Let's just say Joe knew that a little extra attention, a few incentives, and some good food could go a long way toward getting referrals. Apparently, it also worked pretty well for finding a wife! Fast-forward to our 14th anniversary, and we found ourselves back at Timpano, this time in Tampa's Hyde Park Village, for Saturday brunch. We'd been talking about their famous skillet-roasted mussels for years, and they absolutely lived up to our memories. We also enjoyed the bruschetta, fried calamari, and a couple of cocktails. Beyond the food, we love that Timpano feels like a special occasion without being overly formal. Whether you're celebrating something or just looking for a great meal while visiting Tampa, it's a restaurant we'd happily return to. Sometimes the best travel stops aren't about discovering somewhere new. They're about returning somewhere that holds a little piece of your story.
