Black Bear Snow Tubing

Hendersonville, North Carolina

"Real snow, fast tubing lanes, and plenty of frozen family fun in the North Carolina mountains."

Why we recommend it

We visited in January and had an awesome time racing down the hill, laughing, and absolutely freezing together. The cable tow made it easy to get in plenty of runs, and it was a great winter adventure for the entire family. Dress warmer than you think you need to!

About this place

We visited Black Bear Snow Tubing in January, and when we say it was cold, we mean COLD. The temperature was hovering around 10 degrees! We had purchased our tickets before Buddy unexpectedly joined our family, so naturally, he came along for the hour-long drive. While we braved the freezing temperatures, Buddy stayed warm in our Jeep with the heat running. The tubing was an absolute blast! The cable tow made getting back up the hill easy, and we managed to squeeze in several runs despite the cold. Joey and Maddie were the real champions, each making it down three times, more than anyone else in our group. If you're visiting the Hendersonville area during winter, Black Bear Snow Tubing is a fun family adventure worth adding to your itinerary. Just bundle up, especially if you're visiting on a 10-degree day!
