Why we recommend it
Yellow Dog Eats has been a family favorite of ours for years. We love sharing the enormous nachos and heading upstairs to eat, where the quirky decorations and relaxed atmosphere make the meal even more memorable. Indoor and outdoor seating are also available, but upstairs is our favorite spot. The food is great, the building is unlike anywhere else, and the entire place has a cool, creative personality that keeps us coming back.

Yellow Dog Eats is a colorful, laid-back barbecue restaurant located in historic Gotha, just outside Windermere. Its eclectic menu includes smoked-meat sandwiches, salads, barbecue plates and generously loaded nachos. The funky, dog-themed building offers indoor and outdoor seating, including an upstairs dining area filled with character. It is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
